PEDIATRIC ORTHOPEDICS

PEDIATRIC ORTHOPAEDICS is a specialized branch of Orthopedics that focuses on managing musculoskeletal (bone, joint, or muscle) problems in a child who is still growing. This includes newborn babies through teenagers. The musculoskeletal system in children plays a crucial role in a child's growth, development, and overall well-being. A child is not a 'small adult' physically mentally and emotionally and the musculoskeletal system behaves differently from that of an adult. Moreover, they have physis and growth potential, which need to be preserved for them to become mature adults. All these make children so special and thus the need for trained specialists to ensure they get the best possible care. Any musculoskeletal problem can cause alteration in growth potential which can eventually lead to a deformity. Timely identification of the problem and the right intervention at the right time will not only prevent the deformity but also prevent the child from suffering a life-long disability. Our best-trained and most experienced caring team of Pediatric orthopaedic surgeons understand the unique needs of children with orthopaedic injuries and disorders.
