Dr. Amit Shrestha is a Senior Consultant Hematologist & BMT Specialist with 16 years of experience in treating Blood Disease and Blood Cancer patients. His field of interests are Leukemia, Lymphoma, Myeloma, Aplastic Anemia, ITP, Hemophilia, and Thalaseemia.

Qualification
  • Completed MD in Hematology from Fudan University, Shanghai.
  • Pursued Post Graduate Training in Hematology-Oncology & BMT from Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Center, Delhi.
  • Completed IHTC Fellowship from National Blood Bank, Kuala Lumpur.

    Memberships:

    • He is a National Technical Advisory Committee Member of National Bureau of Blood Transfusion Service.
    • Co- Chairperson of Asian Association of Transfusion Medicine (AATM) Patient Blood Management working Group.
    • ⁠SAARC Federation of Oncology- Nepal Chapter (SFO-N).


    Rewards & Recognitions:

    • He had been rewarded by Nepal Hemophilia Society for his significant contribution for the treatment of people with Hemophilia of 15th April 2015.
    • ⁠Rewarded by Nepal Thalassemia Society for his significant contribution for treatment of Thalassemia patients on 8th May 2018.
